Embracing Inner Beauty: A Journey of Self-Acceptance and God’s Love

I don’t use AI for my pictures for some reason. It’s good to see yourself differently, but whenever I see it, I feel terrible inside because I know it’s not me. I remember my younger years when I couldn’t accept who I really was. I couldn’t see any beauty in myself at all.

Knowing God’s love made me realize how unique and lovely He created me. At a young age, I learned (the hard way, though) that real beauty is inside. Focusing more on my heart became a priority, asking God to change me every time, and learning His ways.

I would be a hypocrite if I said that I don’t feel less about myself at times. I still do, but when that happens, I always remember my identity in Christ—that I am truly loved by HIM.

In this world nowadays, the important thing to know is that we all need God’s approval, no one else’s. Others’ admiration is just a bonus of God’s favor and glory. Truly, whoever I am now, I owe it all to the ONE who created me. I will be forever grateful to God for making me who I am.

Still use AI for images to feel good.

Without any judgment toward those who use AI tools for their images, keep doing so if it makes you feel good. But just be mindful that this won’t make us beautiful because we already are. You are already beautiful. Making ourselves presentable is essential to our daily lives, but beauty is not physical; it is in our hearts. The Lord looks at our hearts, and that is enough. 🙂

I am ready for more lessons in life. I may not possess what the world defines as beauty and success, but I am grateful for the salvation, love, and peace I found in JESUS. For that, I don’t need any AI; I just need JESUS every day.

Should I Blog Every Day?

Blog Every Day?

It’s another day to face our regular duties and responsibilities. While still on the bed, my husband asked me, “Can I borrow your phone? I gave him. My mind is still from the thoughts I was contemplating last night. He laughed so hard, and I asked him why. “Should I blog every day” he read from the google search. And I joined him laughing.

What the heck was I thinking? Why would I ask the internet for something I have to decide for myself? Am I the only one weird here who asks the strange question in Google?

It was last night while I was reading some blogs from people I follow. I can’t help but admire them, especially the ones who are consistent with their schedule. Some people had write articles every single day. Others wrote once a week, twice a week, etc.

The most admirable is they are consistent. So, I search in Google “Should I blog every day?” Maybe some answers out there will help me to be more passionate about what I do. I wish I could do that, though.

At some point, it’s like a challenge for me. Deep inside, I wanted to see if I could do it, like every day? Why not? That way, I might be great at blogging. HAHA I wish! So this is me and my blogging drama. 🙂

Every Other Day

“Baby, just do it” he teasingly tells me. I know, right? Why so much worry about this? It’s something you love to do, just do it then. It doesn’t matter if it is not perfect, the important is, you make time for the things you enjoy. For the love of God, just do it. (#NoteToSelf)

“Every other day, It doesn’t have to be every day. That’s what it says” he added. So he read some answers on Google. Support?

I guess I could try to write every other day. Let’s see how far can this go.

Let’s be encouraged to do the things we love to do, to make time for them. Life is short to worry too much about it, right? So I hope wherever you are, whatever you do, remember to just ‘do what you love and love what you do’

Do what makes you feel alive

What makes you feel truly alive? What excites you every time you do it? What activity lets you pour your heart out and lose track of time because you enjoy it so much? What is rewarding and fulfilling?

Do those things more often.

I’m talking about your passion. No matter what others say, keep at it. Even if no one appreciates it or supports you, keep going. Remember why you started in the first place.

WRITING

For me, that passion is writing. It makes me feel alive, and even though I have much to learn, I started and want to keep going.

Honestly, there are times when I just stare at my screen, unable to type anything—writer’s block. It’s frustrating and happens often, but deep inside, I want to keep writing no matter what.

Whether you have readers or not, whether you have supporters or none at all, just keep doing it.

Does it matter if someone appreciates what you do? I’d be lying if I said it doesn’t. It does affect me, especially when no one reads or comments. It feels like someone is rolling their eyes whenever I post something.

The truth is, not everyone will be there for you. But if you find someone who supports and encourages you, appreciate them.

I always go back to the truth that I don’t write for recognition or appreciation. I do it because of the happiness it brings when I publish something. It’s for me, for my passion. I love writing and should do it more often.

One thing that holds us back is worrying too much about what others think. We’re scared of being judged, laughed at, or looked down upon.

But the scariest part is not doing what we love while we have the chance. Life is short.

Pursue what makes you come alive. NOW is the right time.

3 Reasons Why

Have you ever wanted to do something that has been in your heart for a long time? But you couldn’t do it? It makes your heart beat faster because you know that it’s something you really want to try? Are you waiting for someone’s approval that this is something you should do or you should be doing?

For example, a business you want to start, a course you want to take, or starting a new blog? Etc. There are many reasons why we cannot do the things we love to do. Today, I will be sharing the three main reasons why we hesitate from doing the things we’ve been wanting to do.

Fear

Hello there! It’s always the number one. The top one. FEAR.

Fear is inevitable. Honestly, I am always afraid. I can’t even remember the last time I was brave enough to do something. The only thing I can remember now is the day I needed to push my baby out of my womb. I was brave back then HAHA.

But besides that, I’ve always been scared to pursue what I love, scared to even try, scared to fail. I could hear the negative voices telling me that I cannot do it. But then, I decided once and for all to face it, to face my fear. That even if I am scared, I have to do it scared.

Also, you can trust God’s word on this – when you are afraid, know that God has given you the power to overcome it.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind
2 Timothy 1:7

Fear hinders us to do great things. There are these thoughts in our heads that would constantly be telling us that we cannot do it. You’re afraid, I get that. But it is a lie that we cannot do it because we can. You just have to begin, to step on it. Begin somewhere. Just do it!

Starting a new blog

Starting my own blog with my own domain was a step of faith. I was afraid that the things I would write are just non-sense. No one will ever read them. I am just gonna waste my time and my money on this. It’s not gonna work. Yeah?! I feel that all the time. But guess what? Here I am, still blogging. I’ve been on this for a year now (with my own domain, 5 years in total starting with a free one)

I love doing it. Readers or no readers, I will keep doing it. Why? Because I love what I do. I will always come back to the truth that this is something I enjoy doing. So whether I get income from it or not, I will keep doing it. Whether I have readers or if no one will ever visit my site, it’s cool. But of course, it would be great to have some. HAHA. I would appreciate it.

How to overcome your fear?

To overcome the fear, firstly, remind yourself of the purpose of doing it, so you don’t lose track. Secondly, write it/them down in your journal, or on a piece of paper, post it on your table or wall to constantly remind you of the reasons why you are doing it. And thirdly, do it afraid.

One of the reasons why I started a blog is because I could express myself freely. I enjoyed sharing my insights and experiences that would help others who are experiencing the same. However, fear is always present. Fear of being laughed at, being judged, and failing.

People will always have negative feedbacks on what we do, but remember that there are people who will support you all the way. Focus on them. Find that group who would encourage you even if you know deep down your heart that you are doing so bad. HAHA. Yet, they would tell you to keep going.

You are not living for them. Your purpose. huh? Remember that. Don’t lose track. My purpose is to inspire others by doing what I love. And that gives me the courage to keep doing it.

Again, fear is inevitable. You will always feel this, so you might as well do things afraid.

Comparison

“I am a beginner, she is a pro.” If I compare myself to a professional, I would just lock myself up and not do anything at all. Don’t write, you’ll embarrass yourself. As a result, you’ll feel all over your body that you don’t measure up. You’re not good enough. you’re not good at all. Hmmm.

That is to say, you are not gonna do what you love to do. You got stuck there, my friend. Because you compare. It doesn’t work like that. It definitely hinders you to begin somewhere.

After that, you just look down on yourself constantly and basically beat yourself up for not doing or trying the things that you want to do in your life.

So I am here to tell you, my dear friend. DO NOT COMPARE YOURSELF! Don’t do that.

You’re going there. As you begin somewhere, you will definitely get there. Stop looking at other peoples best when starting out. It could end up as a source of anxiety, insecurity and eventually depression. But use them as tools to inspire you to do the things that you love to do. Look up to them and know that God made you wonderfully, beautifully, and uniquely. You can do it also – uniquely. 🙂

Go back to the purpose.

I’ve been there, and it is not easy to get out of it. We are human, we have feelings. We look down on ourselves, we feel that we can’t make it because we are so busy comparing ourselves to others.

When I started blogging, I noticed that my posts are not as popular as others. One caption, one image and they have thousands of views and likes. Dang! I spent time writing and editing my blog, and then boom. Nada! Nothing! HAHA

However, I go back to my purpose. And when there are one or two who send me messages and comments that they love what I write, that it inspires and encourages them, I feel fine again. Back on track. The likes, followers, and subscribers don’t define you.

I believe that God is the one who put those desires in your heart. He’s been telling you to step on it, have faith, and believe that you can do it through His strength and power.

Created for a Purpose

Additionally, don’t be too hard on yourself. You are created for a purpose. Find your purpose and live with it. Focus on the good things in you. Besides, you are thinking about doing it because you are capable. So, let me clarify this — stop comparing. You are awesome, you can do it! 🙂

Lack of 4DS

We hear this all the time. We need the following to be successful :

Determination
Diligence
Dedication
Discipline

In other words, we’re just lazy. HAHA. We cannot do the things we love to do or want to do if we don’t have determination, diligence, dedication, and discipline.

I remember writing these down on my journal and planners. I have so many things in my head, things I would love to begin with. But I am lacking all of these all the time. Today, I am motivated. Tomorrow, I don’t want to do anything but browse social media accounts. Sounds familiar? Well, at least I am honest. It is not easy, huh?!

We all know that people become successful because they are determined to finish what they started. They sacrifice many things, they stick to their plan and purpose. Mapapa- ‘sana all’ ka din minsan e!

We are all work in progress. If you want to do the things you love to do, be determined to do them. Sacrifice is also one of the keys. You don’t have a lot of time? Well, make time. We are all given 24 hours a day, let us learn to manage it well. If you need to rest from social media for a while, take your time then, and plan things while away from all that noise.

Work in Progress

I am a work in progress. I write this not because I am perfect enough to acquire all these traits. Of course not! This topic is also a note to self. A challenge for myself. We know that there are things that need to be changed. And I feel like if I talk about them now, I stand accountable to myself – and to my readers – to get better.

One at a time. I would suggest to begin working on discipline. We all need it.

You Just Have to Begin Somewhere

Are you one of those people who wanted to do something but couldn’t get any courage to do it? Should I say, are you like me? You have dreams and badly wanted things to happen but couldn’t even do the first step? You probably want to finish your study and get a degree but couldn’t come up with what course you should take. Maybe, wanting to start a business but when you think about the risks, instead of trying something you ended up doing nothing because you are simply afraid to fail? Maybe you wanted to do something you are passionate about but you couldn’t get a chance to start. Or maybe you are just simply procrastinating. What exactly hinders us to do these things? Something we’ll never know could turn to be great if we just start.

FEAR.

There are so many things I wanted to do but I couldn’t because I am always afraid. I am afraid to step into the unknown, to leave my comfort zone. I am scared to be judged and looked down on. I am always cautious of what I do because I am afraid people will say something negative. I think I am afraid of so many things, let’s just say that.

It took me forever to decide to use a self-hosted site. Finally came up with a decision. Whether I would regret this or not, I am glad I just finally did the first step. It’s still a decision, after all. This is just one of them, maybe for others it is easy to say and do things because they are born confident, but for someone who was always covered and hidden in a shell, afraid to come out, it is difficult.

Just do it. Simple as that. Even though things might be blurry and unknown for now, I think we just have to begin somewhere. Whether you step on it bravely or with fear, just BEGIN. We will never know the outcome if we won’t even dare to TRY.

This space is mostly for people who need to be reminded that we can be someone better, we can do great things even people don’t see it that way. We can step on to the unknown scared. If you are someone like me, who was/is always afraid, let me tap your shoulder and know that “You can do it”

My own experiences will be somehow shared here. My blog is for people who want to improve and be a better person but are always too shy and scared to try. Well, you are not alone. Let me join you and you can join me as well.

This is my beginning. This is my blog, though I am doubtful, I stepped on it. I am sharing you my journey bravely and scared at the same time. Doing things afraid is the first step. Fear will always be there, do things with it anyway.

I want to encourage you today, that one thing you always want to do really badly, just do it, just begin somewhere. See the outcome. At the end of the day, you will realize it’s not really that bad.
