Hello there! Welcome to my space, if you are my reader already, welcome back. Glad that you’re here. Thank you. Today, I’m going to share my DIY Maternity Photoshoot: 36 weeks. Spending money on a photoshoot isn’t an option at the moment, so to still have fun and make memories, DIY or do-it yourself isn’t a bad idea at all, right?
But for now, I am okay with simple picture taking just to remember this moment before the push. It’s amazing how moms’ body changed. So I would like to remember this moment where my belly expand like this. 🙂
Through the help of my husband, we managed to take some simple photos on the beach. We are both not good at photography though, but we got some decent ones after a thousand clicks. HAHA. The struggle is real. But doing a DIY maternity photoshoot is fun.
A few days ago, our daughter wants to go to the beach. It’s been rainy these days, but as soon the sun showed up, we immediately went to the beach and have some fun. Zoey, my daughter loves to play in the sand, in the salty water and just enjoy being under the sun. It’s fun for her. Meanwhile, I enjoyed watching her and her dad swimming. That’s my role. 🙂 They were so cute together. Oh my heart! Thank God for them 🙂
Thirty-six Weeks
I’m in my thirty-six weeks and 3 days to be exact. 🙂 We grabbed the opportunity to take some DIY Maternity photos. It’s the best time because the belly really shows, especially mine. Plenty of people say that my belly is really big and they would ask if am I getting only one, because it looks like I have a twin in here. HAHA But nope. I asked my gynecologist, and everytime we check, only one shows up. So thank God for that. I think I’m just too small that belly is too obvious.
We didn’t actually plan to do the pictorial, it was spontaneous. Thought it would be great if I have something to remember while pregnant with our second one.
It was around 23 weeks when I did a maternity photoshoot with my first, Zoey. And I also had a quick picture taking on my 36 weeks, year 2020.
My first child is now 3 years old. Time flies by fast. And God is good for giving us this another one.
Unplanned events are sometimes the best.
I didn’t have a chance to put make up, or at least lipstick, because like what I’ve said it was spontaneous. And I loved it, to be honest. Unplanned events are sometimes the best. You only focus on enjoying the moment, right?
The good thing in Aruba, there are beautiful places to take pictures. It’s instagrammable!(HAHA Is that even a word?) I meant, the spots are very good for pictorial. The beach can be a background, the trees. So it is not that difficult to do a Do-It-Yourself photoshoot if you are like me, who doesn’t want to spend hundreds of florins to pose.
But of course, I would love to have one in the future – a professional photoshoot. It’s one of my goals for this year to have a family picture. Because, to tell you the truth, we are not a picture people. Me and my husband are so busy with life, work, and being parents. It’s good but sometimes we still have to pause and capture memories.
This year, it’s really my desire to do that. I would like to capture more memories, because it is so nice to look back how God has blessed us with many things and moments in life. Indeed, life is beautiful.
Portrait setting from Iphone
We only used my iphone for these photos. And we used portrait setting to these two photos to have some blurry background. They are not that wow like the ones from DSLR cameras but they are not bad at all.
Forgive me because mommy is not so good at posing. HAHA 🙂 But it’s not bad, right? 🙂
Let’s keep showing the belly.
The purpose is to take pictures of my bump. So let’s keep showing the belly! HAHA. My baby is growing well, I am grateful. Though I have complications and really have to be careful with this pregnancy, I am really thankful that the Lord helped me carry the baby upto this point. Hang in there, baby. Almost there! We can’t wait to see you 🙂
And, you can also use a timer to show your face or body. It depends how you would like your photo to be taken. I still have some poses in my head that I want to do at home. If I still have time, if I don’t give birth yet. I would try those. Indoor DIY maternity photoshoot. Let’s see if I can still make it 🙂
I enjoyed it. It only took us a few minutes to take some photos. It was indeed a beautiful day!
Will you do a DIY Maternity photoshoot, as well?
Thank you for checking this out. I appreciate it 🙂 Hope you have a lovely day, today.
